The Community Engagement Liaison strengthens relationships with existing community partners within Jackson’s diverse communities with a focus on zip codes underrepresented in the Museum’s current membership base (primarily West and South Jackson) and develops new relationships by determining points of potential collaboration that align with the Museum’s mission and support the partner’s goals. This position supports the Artist in Residence for MMA’s Center for Art & Public Exchange (CAPE) by connecting them with community stakeholders and community partners. They will work with Museum staff to support an environment that is welcoming, inclusive and diverse. This position is generously supported by the Mellon Foundation and is a one-year position with a potential start date of May 2023.
