The Mississippi Alliance of Nonprofits and Philanthropy is responding to urgent COVID-19 needs with a day of giving on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. Join us for #GivingTuesdayNow, a Global Day of Giving and Unity.

We are responding to the urgent needs of nonprofit service providers on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic as they assist families and communities affected by the virus and the resulting economic fallout.

The Alliance, in partnership with Volunteer Mississippi, provides support and training to regional volunteer Hubs across the state, disseminates current information about relief and resources, and conducts weekly webinars for nonprofits at no charge, to assist them in providing the on-the-ground relief for families and communities who are struggling. The Alliance has a team of expert consultants that have assisted nonprofits and others in navigating the complex application process for financial resources and will continue to do so.

The Alliance Executive Director, Sammy Moon reminds us that “We are experiencing an unprecedented time in our nation and state’s history.  The COVID-19 pandemic has stretched not only our spirit and minds to the limit, but also our resources.  The Alliance remains committed to identifying and getting much-needed resources to our state’s nonprofits as they continue to serve and meet needs in their local communities.  Now more than ever, the work we do that supports nonprofits as they meet the critical needs of the children, families, and communities in Mississippi, is vital to the long term sustainability of our state’s social sector which supports our most vulnerable citizens.”

If you have been looking for a way to get involved in the relief effort, we hope that you will invest in The Alliance so that we may continue to support the critical services needed to weather this pandemic.

Join us on May 5  for #GivingTuesdayNow by donating to support our work or volunteering through the Central Mississippi Hub for Volunteers and Nonprofits.
