Welcome Shernica Ferguson to The Alliance

As the Alliance leans in to research, strategic planning and best practices, we are pleased to extend a warm welcome to Shernica Ferguson, Research Specialist.
Shernica is a native of the Mississippi Delta and a Ph.D. student at Jackson State University pursuing her doctoral degree in Public Policy and Administration. She holds a Master’s in Public Health, with a concentration in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, as well as a Masters of Genetics with a concentration in Life Science. She is the author of the debuted novel “Here Comes Destiny”. She is also an interdisciplinary researcher of more than 15 years. She is a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and in her spare time loves to write, listen to jazz and classical music, and learn about other cultures.

As executive director of the Mississippi Alliance of Nonprofits and Philanthropy, I see firsthand the transformative work of thousands of organizations operating with integrity, transparency, and remarkable efficiency across our state.
