Candid - GuideStar/Foundation Center

Candid is the result of a merger of GuideStar and The Foundation Center.  The combined repositories of information about nonprofits and funders provide a powerful source for research and information.  The partnership with the Alliance continues to develop, adding resources for members each year.  These currently include:

  • The Local GuideStar Directory, providing subscription-level access for members to GuideStar profiles for all nonprofits in the State of Mississippi.
  • Training and coaching for nonprofits about updating their GuideStar profiles to maximize visibility to prospective donors and funders on a wide variety of online giving platforms.
  • Custom research services from both GuideStar and the Foundation Directory Online.
  • Coming soon, the Alliance will become a FIN (Funding Information Network) Training site.

Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) – Mississippi Chapter

The membership of AFP provides us with highly qualified experts to support our training and consultation services related to fundraising.  They have been instrumental in the development of the pilot of the Emerging Leaders – Fundraising Executives (ELFE) training program, structured around the coursework required for the Certified Fund-Raising Executives (CFRE) credential
