A coalition uniting and empowering Mississippi nonprofits with shared policy goals and objectives to develop strategies and winning advocacy campaigns that further advance their mission.

Why apply for the Collective?

Whether you are based in an urban or rural setting, every nonprofit has the right to pursue advocacy to advance their mission.

Advocacy brings new resources in support of nonprofit programs and services, is capable of changing policies that improve outcomes, and empowers and builds nonprofit organizational leadership.

Successful advocacy requires building coalitions across shared policy goals and objectives and “the Collective” is designed to unite nonprofits to work together to develop strategies and winning advocacy campaigns.

Promote and build relationships and a support system.
Build your knowledge base in policy and advocacy.
Identify common causes and share ideas.
Provide experiences in civic engagement.

When, where and how often will the Collective meet?

The program will run from February through September with four, in-person sessions at the Alliance training facility in Jackson, Mississippi and additional virtual sessions throughout the program.

Who is eligible, does it cost and how many in a cohort?

The program is exclusive to current Alliance members at no cost! Each cohort is limited to 15 participants.
