Mississippi is All About Its People

We recently enjoyed a visit with our partners from Fidelity Charitable®.

A big takeaway learned from this trip is that Mississippi is all about its people. They were blown away by the hospitality, vibrant relationships, dedicated leadership, and of course, the fantastic food. We visited several local nonprofits and donor groups:

  • We drove through the Midtown neighborhood with Dr. Kristi Hendrix at Midtown Partners, where we got to see firsthand the transformational effects of having a nonprofit embedded in a neighborhood.
  • We received a tour of the Mississippi Food Network from Dr. Charles Beady and Stacey Jordan, where we learned how the organization is supporting students’ access to healthy foods this summer.

We also met with Canopy Children’s Solutions and Springboard to Opportunities, as well as the Community Foundation for Mississippi and the Women’s Foundation of Mississippi both of which are actively working to connect donors to nonprofits across the state.
