However, you must attend the entire EIA course. The curriculum is intentionally designed to incorporate backward and forward pointers that connect the content. Therefore, it is critical that you understand how everything connects and feel comfortable doing so when you are teaching independently.

There is strength in numbers. We firmly believe in the power of co-teaching. While there are some elements of the EIA curriculum that can be taught with one person, often it is more effective with two trainers. Because we conduct EIA training throughout the state, it is important for trainers to know and feel comfortable with other EIA-certified trainers. Moreover, in the event of an emergency, we want to ensure that all trainers have the comfort in knowing that a colleague can step in and not lose a beat.

No worries. Attending Boot Camp is generally the preferred method for becoming certified as a trainer because it is the most expeditious way to experience the full EIA curriculum. However, the only requirement is that you experience the full curriculum before you can become certified. Therefore, you would just attend our three-month or six-month option instead.

Our goal is for EIA training to be taking place all around the state throughout the year. The more trainers we have, the more we can advertise for EIA training which means more opportunities. Ideally, you will not have to travel far at all to conduct training. On a rare occasion, we will conduct EIA training online, but we deeply believe that one of the greatest benefits of going through the program in person is the experience of being in a cohort and getting to hear the experiences of others and grow together.

EIA training occurs year-round in a variety of paces. The frequency will depend on demand and maintaining equity among the trainers. We want to ensure that all trainers have equitable opportunities, no matter where you may live in the state.

After completing the training, you must co-teach an EIA cohort. This will occur at half the normal rate.

• The normal training rate is $90 per hour of instruction and you are compensated for preparation up to 50% of the total training time.
