Giving circles are changing communities around the world.
Imagine the power and impact of teaming up with others in this growing movement with shared values and a commitment to making your part of the world a better place.
What is a Giving Circle?
A group of people with shared values coming together to make change.
They pool their time and money, and decide as a circle where it should go.
Their efforts, discussion, and collective gift transforms into community power, proactive change, and civic action.
Giving Circles are...
Accessible
They are a growing movement of people-powered philanthropy.
Proactive
They give intentionally, thoughtfully, and have the ability to act quickly.
Exponential
They amplify the power of giving — well beyond the dollar.
Communal
They blur the lines between who gives and who receives, and it doesn’t stop at the financial gift.
Powerful
Participants become more well rounded, educated, and grow a broader context from which to make philanthropic decisions.
Dynamic
They are a social experience where the format is flexible. It could be a dinner party, or a Zoom call with 200 of your best friends.
...and come in all shapes and sizes.
They are as small as a couple of people, or as large as several hundred.
They are local and community-based, or give nationally and internationally.
Participants can be from similar backgrounds, or from many different backgrounds.
Giving circles can come together to make donations of any size — from a few dollars, to hundreds of thousands.
Giving circles support with their dollars, but also build awareness, volunteer, become board members and more.
