Biography

I am an experienced leader with over 20 years of experience in government and nonprofits. Highly skilled in strategic planning, event planning, program/project management, grant management, staff/professional development, community engagement, media/communications, education, and empowerment, my aim is to make a difference by impacting the lives of people of all ages.

My professional experience has encompassed managing local and national initiatives, developing and managing grant budgets, implementing community outreach and engagement projects, and educating and empowering children, youth, and adults. I have also served in leadership on nonprofit boards and supported organizations in building community coalitions toward common goals and bringing projects to scale from inception.

The daughter of an avid retired teacher, I am a gifted speaker and presenter with a passion to effect great change in my community and the world. I earned my bachelor's degree from The University of Alabama and my master's degree from the University of South Alabama.
