Engaging and supporting Mississippians in service
At Volunteer Mississippi, our mission is to engage and support Mississippians of all ages and backgrounds in service to their communities. We seek to promote, recognize, and increase volunteers and to expand and diversify AmeriCorps programs while increasing members serving.
To accomplish this, we connect your organization with the volunteers YOU need to make a difference. Through resources like a weekly newsletter featuring volunteer opportunities around the state and a newly redesigned website that makes it easy to publicize your volunteer needs, Volunteer Mississippi works with you to help you accomplish your mission. Our network of over 11,000 volunteers is ready to serve, whether in disaster or fair weather. Let us help you get connected with people passionate about service. Taking advantage of our volunteer services is easy, and the process begins with filling out a simple form that takes less than five minutes. From there, we will begin promoting your volunteer opportunity to our network. Need further assistance? Contact us, and we will work with you to fulfill your needs in finding volunteers.
Along with volunteer services, we are also home to AmeriCorps Mississippi. Through AmeriCorps, we help connect your organization with the funding and service YOU need to make a difference in your community. After becoming an AmeriCorps program, your organization receives grant money, committed individuals passionate about your mission and organization, and many professional and personal development opportunities from state and national consultants. AmeriCorps is an opportunity to broaden your scope of service with the help of our office.
