It is with a grateful heart my family and I begin the new year. I cherish the holidays because it is a time when we can pause to reflect on all our blessings. We have many reasons to be thankful, including the opportunity to live in this great state of ours, especially knowing we have many wonderful charitable organizations offering Mississippians an improved quality of life. Many individuals, families and even communities have a renewed hope for tomorrow through your efforts. Not only that, but your work also advances our state far beyond the walls or your organization.

Our Charities Division at the Secretary of State’s Office seeks to be a resource for all charities in Mississippi. Through daily interaction with charitable organizations, our staff works to ensure all maintain compliance with state law, but more importantly, to provide support through the minutiae of registration and reporting. This one-stop-shop service allows charities to focus on their mission—serving Mississippians—not burdensome administrative work. When charities thrive, our whole state prospers.
The Alliance’s mission and support of our state’s philanthropic organizations are crucial components of success. Fostering collaboration, comradery, and teamwork enhances the depth and knowledge of all leaders, expanding the impact and reach of each non-profit in Mississippi.
