Margo Brooks

Margo Christian-Brooks, has had a stellar career in the nonprofit and small business development arenas. Her professional career includes the gift of grant writing where she has garnered more than $150M in federal, state, local and foundational funding for nonprofit organizations throughout the country. Her training and development expertise has been utilized for organizational development, strategic planning, capital campaigns, planned giving, and event planning. She has effectively managed numerous multi-million dollar federal grants and contracts, achieving 100% compliance in all instances. Having spent the major portion of her adult career in Chicago, IL, Brooks, in addition to her nonprofit development activities, worked in the writing department of Harpo Studios on the weekly series of “Brewster Place”; the cast and crew of numerous other movie productions; as an event planner with Paramount Productions; and small business development work in assisting small businesses to achieve 8(a) certification, as well as achieving certification as a Disadvantaged/Women Business Development Enterprise (D/WBE).
