MS FUNDRAISING PROFESSIONALS GROUP
Purpose
The Alliance is proud to announce and introduce a new opportunity for nonprofit professionals. This group is emerging out of the closed Mississippi chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and is made up of Development Directors, Executive Directors, Presidents, and CEOs of nonprofits across the state. This is not affiliated with AFP and functions as a group led and directed by The Alliance.
Objectives
The mission of the group is to convene fundraising professionals in the state of Mississippi in order to:
- network
- share best practices and ideas
- collaborate to strengthen philanthropic giving in our state
- create a Listserv for members of the group
- share job opportunities
- gather feedback and promote grants and RFPs
Programming Topics
- Philanthropic Giving report from 2019
- Current number of Fundraisers registered in MS (have SOS provide an overview of that process, requirements, etc…)
- Current number of CRFE in MS – how do we track those, celebrate them, help promote for others, what are CEU opportunities, funding for applicants
- Endowments
- Planned GivingGiving Tuesday/Year-End Giving
- Development in Nonprofits v/s Foundations
- Corporate Social Responsibility Giving
