Course Description

As we work in religious nonprofits, we are clear about our mission. But sometimes, we're not quite so clear and confident about our legal and fiduciary administration of the organization. If you're like most, you might have a few questions - so, let's invest some time together to ensure we are approaching the legal aspects of our organization with the same focus, passion, and skill with which we are approaching our mission. In this half-day training, we will examine important topics like effective organizational structures for boards, officers, and members, responsibilities that come with incorporation, understanding the role of bylaws, and the importance of keeping them up-to-date, assessing organizational risk management, understanding tax-exempt status, as well as clarifying confusion around employee versus contractor roles in your organization. You will be equipped with helpful resources to leave this training with more clarity and confidence to lead in your organization - and we'll have fun together wrestling with not-so-fun but important issues.

*While this training is geared for religious nonprofits, all types of nonprofits are welcome.
