Course Description
This Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion workshop will explore a wide variety of important topics impacting the lives of Mississippians and potential implications and applications for nonprofit organizations. Core topics will include anti-racism, structural inequalities (isms), unconscious bias, microaggressions, allyship, and prejudice.
Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to...
- explain the history of racism, how to discuss race and racism, learn anti-racism terms, and explore the topic of identity.
- identify and describe the complexity of a variety of key topics within diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- describe which elements of the workshop connect with them personally and for their nonprofit organizations.
